OpenFiskal now fully supports TSE integration for Shopify POS merchants in Germany, ensuring seamless conformity with KassenSichV regulations. This feature is compatible with both Shopify POS Pro and Shopify POS Lite plans.

Sends automated email receipts to customers after each checkout, using a fiscalized register and customer email address. Emails are sent directly from OpenFiskal with the sender address receipts@mail.openfiskal.com

We improved the RKSV signing process specifically for the Split Payments feature in Shopify POS. With this update, we’ve enhanced the reliability and accuracy of fiscalization for split payments, ensuring each transaction is signed in compliance with RKSV requirements. Additionally, our new internal tooling allows us to identify split payments more precisely and proactively address any potential issues, providing a more robust and seamless experience for merchants.

When using OpenFiskal for Shopify POS in test mode, we’ve added a clear message on printed receipts to indicate that they are for demo or test purposes only. The German message displayed is: „Achtung: Dieser Beleg wurde zu Testzwecken erstellt und ist nicht für den tatsächlichen Gebrauch bestimmt“, which translates to “Warning: This receipt was created for testing purposes and is not intended for actual use”. This ensures clarity and avoids any confusion during testing or any misuse of test receipts.

Shopify Gift Cards are now fully supported in OpenFiskal with RKSV. Whether you're selling gift cards alone or with other products, each transaction is signed. The same applies when redeeming gift cards — whether used as a standalone payment method or as part of a split payment. This update ensures all gift card transactions are fully compliant and seamlessly integrated into your workflow.

We've improved how exchanges are signed with RKSV, making transactions more reliable and accurate. Additionally, we've introduced a new "Exchange" label in the Receipts tab, offering a clear view of all exchanges. This update also includes a detailed breakdown of amounts for each exchange, ensuring full transparency on what occurred during the transaction.

We’re excited to introduce a new feature that allows you to decommission fiscalized registers directly from the admin interface in the OpenFiskal Shopify app. Whether a register is no longer needed, has been stolen, or for any other reason, you can now easily manage its decommissioning with just a few clicks.

When you decommission a register, it will automatically sync with FinanzOnline (FON), ensuring compliance with Austrian fiscal regulation RKSV. Additionally, the required receipt, "Sonderbeleg Schlussbeleg," will be generated automatically and can be accessed from the Receipts tab for your records. This update streamlines the process and keeps your fiscal management efficient and secure.
